THE Quill represents that FAOs are writers and observers
The association distributes a bi-annual newsletter. The purpose of this newsletter is to announce association news, allow members to submit articles, discuss Army FAO history, and to highlight upcoming events. FAOs are writers. Many of our FAOs and their spouses have written books after they have retired or during their tour on active duty. Please click below for books written by and about FAOs.
One long-term goal of the association is the establishment of an Army FAO Handbook. The purpose of this handbook is to consolidate information from “cradle to grave” for Army FAOs. From “Welcome to the FAO Functional Area” to “PCSing as a FAO” to “Retiring as a FAO.” The Association has a rough draft already started which our academic committee is working on.
